Shambhala

The book by N.K. Roerich, 'Shambhala,' contains legends, myths, and stories about the Forbidden Country — Shambhala. The image of Shambhala runs through all the literary and artistic works of N.K. Roerich. Combining legends with real facts, Roerich presents the concept of Cosmic Evolution in a poetic form. While living in India, Nicholas Konstantinovich and Helena Ivanovna Roerich collaborated for a long and productive period with an extraordinary group of Indian Teachers. This collaboration resulted in the creation of the books of Living Ethics, also known as Agni Yoga. It must be said that even today, contemporaries of the 20th century are enthusiastically deciphering the meaning of these books for humanity and its evolution.
