బహు ముఖ ప్రజ్ఞాశాలి అని మనం కొందరిని మాత్రమే అంటాము. అందులో అడివి బాపిరాజు గారు మొదటి వరుసలో వుంటారు. కవిగా, నవలాకారుడిగా, కథకుడిగా, వ్యాసకర్తగా, రేడియో నాటక రచయితగా, విమర్శకుడిగా, అనువాదకుడిగా, పత్రిక సంపాదకుడుగా ఉంటూ తెలుగుతనానికి ఒక కొత్త అర్ధం తీసుకొచ్చారు అడివి బాపిరాజు. ఆయన చిన్న చిన్న కథలని పేర్చి కథ సంకలనాలని పాఠకుల ముందుకు తీసుకొని వచ్చారు. భోగీరలోయ అని ఆయన చేసిన రచన ఎంతో మందిని ఆకర్షించింది. గ్రామీణ నేపథ్యం లో ప్రకృతి ని కూడా కథా వస్తువు ను చేసుకొని ఆ మధ్యలో హృదయాన్ని హత్తుకొనే భావోద్వేగమైన కథలను మన ముందుకు తెచ్చారు బాపిరాజు. ఈ కథా సంకలనం లో ఉన్న మిగిలిన కథలు: నాగేటిచాలు, నరసన్న పాపాయి, బొమ్మల రాణి, జగ్గన్న గంటం, దీపం సెమ్మా. Versatility is something that is often discussed when it comes to the people in Telugu literature.
