Niluvu chambu - Vadla Ginjalu

శ్రీపాద సుబ్రహ్మణ్యశాస్త్రి, 20 వ శతాబ్దపు తెలుగు కథకులలో విశిష్టంగా చెప్పుగోదగ్గ రచయిత (ఏప్రిల్ 23, 1891 - ఫిబ్రవరి 25, 1961). భాషలో, భావంలో, తెలుగు నుడికారం ప్రయోగించటంలో ఇతను పేరెన్నిక గన్నవారు. 'వడ్లగింజలు' పద్నాలుగు కధల సమాహారం. ప్రతీదీ ప్రత్యేకమయినదే! కొన్ని కధలలో పాత్రల పేర్లూ ఉండవు. పరిచయాల పని లేదు. వర్ణనలు అసలే ఉండవు. నేరుగా 'సంభాషణ'ల తోనే మొదలయ్యి పోతుంది. ఆ వేగానికీ, శైలికీ అలవడడానికి కొంచెం సమయం పట్టినా, దాని ఫలితంగా అప్పుడు సంభాషించుకుంటున్న రెండు లేదా అంతకు మించి ఉన్న అన్ని పాత్రల్లోకి ఏకకాలంలో మనం పరకాయ ప్రవేశం చెయ్యాల్సి ఉంటుంది. అంతకంటే కూడా ఆ పాత్రలే మనల్ని ఆవహించేస్తాయి. అంతటి శక్తి, ఆకర్షణ ఉన్న రచనలు శ్రీపాద వారివి. Sripada Subrahmanya Sastri is one of the prominent fiction writers of the 20th century (April 23, 1891 - February 25, 1961). He was extremely skillful at playing with language and using unique dialects to convey a meaning. 'Vadla Ginjalu' is a collection of 14 stories. The stories begin with dialogues straightaway. The reader may lag a bit to acquaint herself with the pace of the story. Once gripped by the story, the reader is pulled into those characters. The characters become one with the reader. Such is the force and gravity of Sripada's writings.
