Author Ravulapalli Sunitha did a commendable job in bringing out the flavor of those times with her writing. యదార్థ ఘటనల ఆధారం గా వచ్చిన కథలు ఎప్పటికప్పుడు మనల్ని అలరిస్తూ నే ఉంటాయి. అటువంటి కథల్లో ఒకటి ఈ తుఫాను. 1996 లో కోనసీమ లో సంభవించిన ఒక పెను తుఫాను చుట్టూ జరిగిన ఒక కథ ఆధారంగా ఈ కథ అల్లబడింది. ఆ తుఫాను తాలూకు కథలు, అప్పటి సంఘటనలు వాస్తవంగా మన కి కథ రూపం లో తీసుకొని వచ్చారు రచయిత్రి రావులపల్లి సునీత.
