De la editorial

This collection of essays was Ayn Rand's last work, which she worked on before her death in 1982. In it she summarizes and defends her philosophical views, which formed the basis of her bestsellers 'Atlas Shrugged' and 'The Source.' According to her ideas, reason is not just a distinctive, but a fundamental human trait by which man survives. For Ayn Rand, philosophy is the force that shapes the mind and character of individuals and nations; one's choice is not whether or not to adhere to a particular philosophical concept, but which one to adopt for oneself. In other essays, Ayn Rand criticizes Kant's ethical views, writes about the importance of language, and explains what it takes to form a rational and conscious philosophy.
