Freyja was a very special god-child, because her father Njörd (pronounced Nj-ord), the sea-god, lived at sea. Freyja, however, was very much a land-dweller. Every night, when Freyja had gone to bed, Njörd would give her a good-night kiss and leave to live in the waves. This is the story of how Njörd made Freyja feel safe and calm in her bed while he was far away, ruling his ocean kingdom. Are you ready to hear this story?
