Oldman Venkatesan goes to meet his longtime friend Visu at the old age home. He was impressed by Visu's comfortable and independent lifestyle at the Home, without leaning on or longing for the support of his well-to-do sons and daughters. Visu tempts his friend to join the home like him. Venkatesan gets disturbed, as he starts mulling over the seemingly negligent and callous behavior of his son and daughter in law who are taking care of him. Upon Venkatesan's invitation, Visu visits their home, with the covert agenda of helping his friend to join the old age home. Did Visu end up in success? Is the other side of the riverbank really greener? முதியோர் இல்லத்தில் தங்கியிருக்கும் தன் பால்ய நண்பன் விசுவைக் காணச்செல்கிறார் முதியவர் வெங்கடேசன். சீரும் சிறப்புமாய் வாழும் தன் பிள்ளைகளுக்கு பாரமாய், அவர்களைச் சார்ந்து வாழாது, முதியோர் இல்லத்தில் நல்ல வசதிகளோடு, சுயகௌரவத்துடன் வாழும் விசு அவரை ஒரு விதத்தில் வியக்க வைக்கிறார். தன் பிள்ளையின் குடும்பத்தோடு அவர்கள் ஆதரவில் வாழும் வெங்கடேசனுக்கு விசுவை சந்தித்தபின் மனம் தடுமாறுகிறது. சேர்ந்து வாழ்வதால் தான் சந்திக்கும் அவமரியாதைகளையும் அலட்சியங்களையும் தவிர்க்க, தானும் முதியோர் இல்லத்துக்குப் போய் வாழ்வது தான் கௌரவமாய் இருக்குமோ? அதற்கு உதவ, விசுவைத் தன் வீட்டிற்கு அழைக்கிறார் வெங்கடேசன். விசு உதவினாரா? இக்கரைக்கு அக்கரை பச்சையாய்த் தான் இருந்ததா?
