On New Year's Eve, dramatic events unfold in the very center of Makhachkala: several people enter into a confrontation with a large construction company, law enforcement agencies and the city administration, protecting a tree - the tallest beech in Europe, which must be cut down in order to build an office center in its place. Will a handful of daredevils manage to defend the tree and how will the lives of the heroes of history change in these few days - both positive and noteworthy villains? This story is similar to a New Year's fairy tale: kind, as prescribed by the laws of the genre, sometimes funny, and sometimes sad to tears, but at the same time bitingly ironic and merciless to evil in all its manifestations.
