'A Day in Our Lives' is an entertaining story by the famous Russian writer, playwright and theater figure Mikhail Afanasyevich Bulgakov (1891–1940). A young girl joins the Komsomol, and on the same day her new patent leather shoes disappear. Neighboring grandmothers whisper that it was God who punished her, and the Komsomol member's mother turns to a fortune teller to find the thief. And the story develops into a whole scandal... Mikhail Bulgakov gained fame and recognition from his works 'La Boheme', 'In the Cafe', 'The Red Crown', 'Memory', 'The Blizzard', 'Future Prospects', 'The Missing Eye', 'Diaboliad', 'The Star Rash', 'On the benefits of alcoholism.' Many of Mikhail Bulgakov's works were banned by Soviet censorship, and this very fact characterizes him as a free-thinking person. His talent is admired by readers all over the world, his works have been translated into different languages and films have been made based on many of them.
