De la editorial

'Moscow of the 20s' is a fascinating story by the famous Russian writer, playwright and theater figure Mikhail Afanasyevich Bulgakov (1891–1940). The narrator at one time walked the length and breadth of Moscow, and knows every street and every house. He shares memories of what it was like the city in the 20s of the XX century, about its houses with non-working elevators, about communal apartments with thin partitions and about the painful 'housing issue'. Other famous works of Mikhail Bulgakov are 'The Golden City', 'Chinese History', The Komarov Case,'The Week of Enlightenment', 'Baptism by Turning', 'Morphine', 'The House of Elpit-Rabkommun', 'Raid. In the magic lantern.' Many of Mikhail Bulgakov's works were banned by Soviet censorship, and this very fact characterizes him as a free-thinking person. His talent is admired by readers all over the world, his works have been translated into different languages and films have been made based on many of them.
