Henrik Ibsen is a forerunner of the art of the 20th century with its condensation, experimentation and multidimensionality. The secret of the plot composition of Ibsen's drama is in the successive disclosure of certain secrets that reveal the inner disharmony of the characters, hidden behind the outer shell of a happy life. In 1884, under the influence of impressionism, the drama 'The Wild Duck' was published, which is considered the first masterpiece written in the style of tragicomedy. The play reflects the circumstances of real life, but pays more attention to the conflict within a person. Ibsen reveals the concept of 'all or nothing', explores its role in the lives of weak and complacent people. The peculiarity of the drama is that it is filled with symbolic actions.
