'The Lost Blend' is a short story by the American novelist and recognized classic O. Henry (1862–1910). One day, two friends concoct an incredibly delicious cocktail, but to their horror, they instantly forget the recipe. The writer also became famous for his stories 'The Cop and the Anthem', 'The Sleuths', 'The Moment of Victory', 'Law and Order', 'The Day We Celebrate', 'One Thousand Dollars', 'A Bird of Bagdad' and 'Sisters of the Golden Circle'. O. Henry, whose real name was William Sydney Porter, is considered a master of the 'Voice of the City' genre, where sparkling humor is combined with deep philosophical meaning.
