People always like stories that are based on true events. Even this story is based on an event that took place during the 1996 floods in the Konaseema region. Author Ravulapalli Sunitha did a commendable job in bringing out the flavor of those times with her writing. యదార్థ ఘటనల ఆధారం గా వచ్చిన కథలు ఎప్పటికప్పుడు మనల్ని అలరిస్తూ నే ఉంటాయి. అటువంటి కథల్లో ఒకటి ఈ తుఫాను. 1996 లో కోనసీమ లో సంభవించిన ఒక పెను తుఫాను చుట్టూ జరిగిన ఒక కథ ఆధారంగా ఈ కథ అల్లబడింది. ఆ తుఫాను తాలూకు కథలు, అప్పటి సంఘటనలు వాస్తవంగా మన కి కథ రూపం లో తీసుకొని వచ్చారు రచయిత్రి రావులపల్లి సునీత.
