Dreams

The poem is dedicated to the thoughts of the lyrical heroine about the content and meaning of the struggle, the desire to be etched in history with indomitable spirit and courage. Lesya Ukrainka was fond of history. She was attracted by the era of brave warriors, chivalrous deeds. After all, she valued strength of spirit and justice more than anything else. That is why she was not interested in mysterious princes and queens, not proud winners, but those who, even under the threat of death, did not want to give up. Perhaps it was from them that she learned great courage, which she later needed so much in life to fight her own illness and various troubles.
